Volunteering — What's in it for you?

As with any volunteer position, there is always the satisfaction of knowing that you have contributed to the overall well being of the community. There is a job for everyone here in the gardens and knowing that you have contributed to expanding a child's horizon by helping them to have a positive garden experience, or perhaps you have given a senior a day out of their surroundings and rejuvenated their spirit is an uplifting experience! Our gardens are used to inspire artists, other gardeners, writers, seniors, business people, children and many others. People come to relax, heal, meditate, learn and connect with Mother Earth. Volunteering is good for the soul. You get out of it more than what you have put in!

We appreciate your time and help!

At the Gardens we appreciate your time and input. Without our volunteers, we could not exist. Therefore, once you have worked 10 hours, we will provide you with a shirt and cap that will identify you as a valuable member of our team.

You will be given an Annual Membership Pass to the Garden, so that you may come back anytime and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Included with that pass is a 10% discount in the gift shop and nursery, and a subscription to our newsletter.

At the end of our season, we will treat you to a special volunteer Appreciation event.

For those that are working to fulfill volunteer hours, we are happy to supply you with documentation of hours worked.
